“Bridge of Spies” and “Carol” lead the pack in 2016 BAFTAs nominations

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Feb 14

The nominations for the 2016 BAFTAs have been announced. Bridge of Spies by Steven Spielberg and Carol by Todd Haynes lead the pack with nine nominations apiece, closely followed by The Revenant with eight and Mad Max: Fury Road with seven.

The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Feb 14 at London’s Royal Opera House, hosted by Stephen Fry. It will be broadcast on BBC1 in the UK and in all major territories around the world.
