Executives from leading film festivals will debate the current economic climate for festivals and future avenues for funding at the second ICO Film Festival Symposium will be held in Vilnius on April 13 during the Vilius International Film Festival (March 31-April 17).
Topics that will be addressed during the course of the symposium include the value that film festivals bring to their host cities and how they can show and measure it, how public funders view the development of the sector, what type of competition do festivals face when it comes to securing funding and more.
Keynote presentetions will be given by Roberto Cueto of San Sebastian International Film Festival,w and Toronto International Film Festival’s Director of Corporate Sponsorship, Brooke Duval.
Supported by Creative Europe’s MEDIA Programme, the ICO Film Festival Symposium series provides an ideas-driven arena for industry debates on the role of film festivals in the film industry, focusing on issues of importance to festivals and their audience development, use of new technologies and economic stability. This edition is arranged in partnership with Vilnius International Film Festival.
