FRED Film Radio, in partnership with the Italian Trade Agency and Italian Film Commissions, will join the 1st edition of ITALIAN STORIES DAY – Los Angeles .
On June 25th 2019 the Italian companies SIAE and Istituto Luce Cinecittà, will host in Los Angeles a panel to introduce three prominent Italian novelists whose works are already under process of adaptation for film/series. The event will explore opportunities for acquiring and adapting upcoming Italian literary properties based on Italian novels, as happened for success series like My Brilliant Friend and Gomorrah.
Steven Gaydos (Senior Editor and Executive VP of Content, Variety) will moderate the discussion between Italian novelists Edoardo Albinati (The Catholic School), Stefania Auci (The Florios – Sicily’s Lions Saga), Tiziana Triana (Black Moon Saga) and US producers both from film studios and digital platforms.
Following the panel session, the Italian Audiovisual Producers Association (APA) and representatives of the Italian Film Commissions association (IFC) will organize one-on-one meetings between a delegation of Italian producers and top US audiovisual and digital players. The aim of the networking session is to find international co-production partners to produce the best upcoming content based on great Italian novels and IP.
