Live from the 77th Venice Film Festival, it’s Big FRED Venice! A daily journal from the world’s first major international film festival to hold a physical edition since the coronavirus outbreak. In this episode, host Matt Micucci is joined by FRED’s very own Chiara Nicoletti to talk about the atmosphere on the Lido di Venezia and some of the recent films that have been screened here today. These include: Mona Fastvold’s The World to Come, starring Vanessa Kirby and Katherine Waterston, and Sun Children by Majid Majidi, both screened in competition. Chiara also shares her thoughts on Luca Guadagnino’s presentations: a short, Fiori, Fiori, Fiori!, and Salvatore – Shoemaker of Dreams, a documentary on Salvatore Ferragamo.
