To promote the cinema from the Mediterranean region, which finds itself more and more at the centre of the world.

From the 6th to the 13th of November 2015, FRED is joining the 21st MedFilm Festival in Rome, Italy.

From the 6th to the 13th of November, the 21st edition of the MedFilm Fest, dedicated to the promotion and diffusion of Mediterranean cinema, will be taking place once again in Rome. The aim of the event remains unchanged: diving into the reality of the Mare Nostrum with no filters, fears or prejudices, to carry on with renewed urgency the work of cultural exchange between the countries of its two sides.

The Mediterranean is, always more, at the centre of the world and cinema seeks to explore its big themes, telling us stories of a Europe that is slowly moving forward, pushed by its new scenarios and by the arrival of people from all kind of cultural backgrounds.

This 21st edition will be unmissable, full of stories straight from the countries of the big exodus, prestigious guests and film premieres: the main sections have been confirmed (Feature Film Competition “Premio Amore e Psiche”, Documentary Competition “Premio Open Eyes”, Short Film Competition “Premio Methexis”, New Europe LUX Prize), and there will be a focus on Syria, as well as a special event dedicated to TV series from Israel.
