Mevlut Akkaya, Producer, Night of silence.

FRED talks to the producer of Night of Silence, a Turkish film showing in the International Competition in Mar del Plata. Mevlut Akkaya talks about old traditions in Turkey and the damage arranged marriage can do in light of the film, which is a beautifully shot and realised tale about a very young girl being married off to a very old man. The film is a must – the ending is fantastic.
