PODCAST| Sabina Prestipino interviews Annalisa Piras, artistic director of the Wake Up Europe! Festival.

Annalisa Piras is a London-based Italian journalist and film director. She is currently the Wake Up Europe! Festival’S artistic director (Turin, 16-19 May). As Piras’ latest film, Europe at Sea (2017), a feature-length documentary, that looks at Europe’s role on the global stage in light of today’s transnational security challenges and the shifting sands of geopolitics, Wake Up Europe! wants to create an “agorà”, where people can talk about issues and challenges of Europe. She was a former London correspondent for L’Espresso magazine and La7 Tv. She founded with Bill Emmott the Wake Up Foundation, an educational charity that aims to raise public awareness of the dangerous trends currently under way in Western societies.
