NABAT is the intense tale of loyalty, abandonment and pride. ‘Nabat’ and her sick husband ‘Iskender’, live in a small isolated house far from the village. War has been raging for some time and their son has been killed at the front. As the shadow of war envelopes the region, the village is slowly deserted by its inhabitants as we watch how ‘Nabat’ copes with the developments and struggles to survive.
FRED’s Amanny Mohamed caught up with incredible actress Fatemeh Motamed Arya and writer/director Elchin Musaoglu to discuss his second feature selected for the Horizon’s section of the 71st Venice international film festival.
