A conversation with Erik Matti, director of On the Job: The Missing 8, presented in the Official Competition of the 78th Venice Film Festival. In this interview, Matti talks about some of the influences of this exciting ensemble gangster flick, the way he structures his films and about some of this film’s theme, including the challenge of trusting the media.

On the Job: The Missing 8: Inspired by true events, the film chronicles the story of Sisoy Salas, a corrupt journalist seeking justice for his colleagues, and convict Roman Rubio, a hired gun who is regularly brought out of prison to perform assassinations.
