Graeme Scott and Buffy Squires worked beside the men and women of Emergency for five years to give us this astounding and shocking report of the war zones and the humanitarian crisis in our planet, where Emergency is operating. Gino Strada came at the end of the project to be interviewed and his voice and his words are the most efficient frame which the daily nightmares of these populations and those who help them are told into.
Beyond The Beach – The Hell and The Hope: gives a glimpse into the lives of doctors, nurses and volunteers who have given up their everyday lives to work in war-torn parts of the world for the Italian NGO Emergency. We see their laughter, tears and, at times, frustration doing what very few people are brave enough to do and we learn the hardships and emotional stress that they must endure to carry out their missions while never losing hope…
