Greek-born filmmaker Konstantina Kotzamani stops by FRED’s radiocall studio for a quick chat about her mid-length film, Electric Swan, presented out of competition at the 2019 Venice International Film Festival. Here, she talks about the themes of her film, including its environmental dimension, and answers whether she believes there is beauty to be found in destruction.

Electric Swan: Buildings are not supposed to move. But on Avenida Libertador 2050, a building moves and the ceiling shivers, causing a strange nausea that devours its residents. Those who live on the top are afraid they’ll fall, the ones who live beneath are afraid they’ll drown.
