Peter Cattaneo uses his craft of real life storyteller another time. With the story of military wives building up a choir to keep their minds busy while husbands are on another mission in Afghanistan, he recreates a world of humanity, grief, fun and strength that moves. He talks with Angelo Acerbi about his recipe and the intentions of his filmmaking.

Military Wives: The life of a military wife on the front can be thankless. But not for Kate, who bears the stress and monotony of her condition with grace and stoicism. Kate finds expressive freedom in song, and even persuades a group of wives in the same situation to form the first ‘Military Wives Choir’, which will achieve a huge and unexpected success. The film is based on real stories.
