At the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, the official awards were announced, assigned by the five international juries during the closing ceremony.
The jury, chaired by Alexander Payne, with Stéphane Brizé, Maura Delpero, Cristian Mungiu, Mohammad Rasoulof, Fernanda Torres, and Zhao Tao, awarded:
Golden Lion for Best Film: Father Mother Sister Brother by Jim Jarmusch (USA, Ireland, France)
Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize: The Voice of Hind Rajab by Kaouther Ben Hania (Tunisia, France)
Silver Lion – Best Director: Benny Safdie, The Smashing Machine (USA)
Volpi Cup – Best Actress: Xin Zhilei, Ri Gua Zhong Tian (The Sun Rises on Us All) by Cai Shangjun (China)
Volpi Cup – Best Actor: Toni Servillo, La grazia by Paolo Sorrentino (Italy)
Best Screenplay: Valérie Donzelli and Gilles Marchand, À pied d’œuvre by Valérie Donzelli (France)
Special Jury Prize: Sotto le nuvole by Gianfranco Rosi (Italy)
Marcello Mastroianni Award (emerging actor): Luna Wedler, Silent Friend by Ildikó Enyedi (Germany, Hungary, France)
