The 82nd Venice International Film Festival (August 27 – September 6, 2025), directed by Alberto Barbera and organized by La Biennale di Venezia, has officially announced the international juries for its main sections.
The jury presidents will be Alexander Payne for the Venezia 82 Competition, Julia Ducournau for the Orizzonti section, and Charlotte Wells for the Luigi De Laurentiis Award for Best Debut Film.
The Main Competition Jury, chaired by American filmmaker Alexander Payne, will award the following prizes:
Golden Lion for Best Film
Silver Lion – Grand Jury Prize
Silver Lion – Best Director
Volpi Cup for Best Actress
Volpi Cup for Best Actor
Best Screenplay Award
Special Jury Prize
Marcello Mastroianni Award for Best Young Actor/Actress
