Jimmy Gralton leaves America and returns to his homeland Ireland, back to his ma and the people he loves, including his childhood sweetheart Oonagh, only to discover there have been many changes and the hall he built was shut down by the Church. Jimmy re-opens the dance hall where people come to learn art, poetry, dance and simply have fun, but it becomes a battle of wills as Father Sheridan is determined to shut him down for good.

FRED Film radio caught up with two of the leading actors Simone Kirby and Barry Ward to find out more about working with Ken Loach on this drama, JIMMY’S HALL.
