A conversation with film critic, historian and artistic director of the Pordenone Silent Film Festival, Jay Weissberg. The internationally renowned festival of early silent film moved online this year in response to the pandemic for a very special limited edition. In this interview, Weissberg talks about the importance of this decision and the fascinating program it presented. He also shares his thoughts on the global situation of the hardships endured by the film preservation sector and the responses of film festivals in the time of the coronavirus.
