È tratto da una storia vera, L’ultimo paradiso, film originale Netflix prodotto e scritto Da Riccardo Scamarcio e ambientato nella sua Puglia negli anni ’50. L’attore sceglie di recitare anche nel film accanto a Gaia Bermani Almaral, diretto da Rocco Ricciardulli. Storia di Ciccio e la sua amata Bianca che sognano di affrancarsi dallo sfruttamento sui campi di Cumpà Schettino (Antonio Gerardi), padre di Bianca e crudele proprietario terriero. Incontriamo Rocco Ricciardulli e Gaia Bermani Almaral con cui commentiamo il mix di generi con cui gioca il film che spazia dal neorealismo al western abbandonandosi, ogni tanto, a licenze poetiche immaginifiche.

L’Ultimo paradiso: Siamo nel 1958 in un piccolo paese del sud Italia. Ciccio (Riccardo Scamarcio) è un contadino di 40 anni. È sposato con Lucia (Valentina Cervi) e hanno un figlio di 7 anni. Ciccio sogna di cambiare le cose e lotta con i suoi compaesani contro chi da sempre sfrutta i più deboli. È segretamente innamorato di Bianca (Gaia Bermani Amaral), la figlia di Cumpà Schettino (Antonio Gerardi), un perfido e temuto proprietario terriero che da anni sfrutta i contadini. Ciccio vorrebbe fuggire insieme a lei ma, non appena Cumpà Schettino verrà a conoscenza della loro relazione, una serie di eventi inizierà a sconvolgere la vita di tutti e niente sarà più come prima.
