FRED’s Matt Micucci meets filmmaker Mikala Krogh and one of the central subjects of her documentary Poul Madsen, who is also the editor in chief of Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet. They talk to us about the film “The Newsroom – Off the Record”, shown at IDFA 2014. Mikala and Poul tell us about their collaboration and discuss with us the current state of printed press and its similarities with the current state of cinema.
“The Newsroom – Off the Record” is a gripping documentary that follows the editorial staff of Danish tabloid Ekstra Bladet, as they try to keep their heads above water as well as battle their downfall in popularity and end up facing some major dilemma along the way.
