Oscar®-winning Steve McQueen is one of the 15th Rome Film Festival’s guests of honor. At the Festa to receive the Career award, the British filmmaker presents his anthology film series Small Axe. The series is composed by 5 films and among those, three of them Lovers Rock, Mangrove and Red, White and Blue are both in the New York FIlm Festival program and in the Rome Film Festival 2020. On the red carpet of the Rome Film Fest, Steve MacQueen explains why Small Axe had to become a 5 films Anthology series and couldn’t be a TV series as he originally thought.

Small Axe is an upcoming British-American anthology film series, created and directed by Steve McQueen. It is set to premiere on November 15, 2020 on BBC One in the UK and on November 20, 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.
