After meeting him in Berlin for AFERIM, Chiara Nicoletti is joined again by Teodor Corban, protagonist of ONE FLOOR BELOW, the new film by Radu Muntean, presented at the 68th edition of Festival de Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section.
Corban plays the role of Sandu Patrascu, an average man in his 50’s who, one day, witness a domestic fight that might have turned into a murder. For the whole film, the audience follows Patrascu, gets to know him and tries to understand the reasons behind his actions or in this case, his inability to act.
Patrascu is a man made up of weaknesses rather than strenghts, a man like many others. The film focuses on Teodor Corban‘s performance as everything is portrayed from Patrascu’s point of view.
ONE FLOOR BELOW (UN ETAJ MAI JOS): After being the sole unfortunate witness of a domestic quarrel that ends up in a murder, Patrascu finds himself at odds with two very close neighbors: one is the bizarre murderer, the other one his very own conscience.
