Fisher Stevens, Rebecca Chaiklin – Directors and Producers – Another World

Academy award producer (The Cove) and actor Fisher Stevens and producer/director Rebecca Chaiklin are in Berlin film Festival after Sundance to present their new documentary ANOTHER WORLD. Stevens and Chaiklin tell Chiara Nicoletti that they were in the middle of production for another film when the OCCUPY WALL STREET movement started and they could film everything from the beginning because they had their office very close to Zuccotti park, where it all began. Although they are also directors and producers of fiction films, they firmly believed that this movement had to be portrayed in a documentary form since they felt the urge of filming the energy, the passion and the strength of the moment. The idea of selecting some particular stories as the best way to narrate the movement was Fisher Stevens’ , says Rebecca Chaiklin. They decided to talk to and about american people, not the typical New Yorkers because through their eyes and personal stories you could feel the heart and the spark of the OCCUPY WALL STREET movement.
