FRED’s Chiara Nicoletti meets Kôji Fukada, director of Harmonium, at the 69th Festival de Cannes in the Un Certain Regard section. The film analyses how the harmony of a family can be broken if there are things left unsaid and unsolved. Fukada reveals his idea of how every human being is destined to live and uses protestant religion as a way to portray the feeling of guilt.

HARMONIUM: Toshio hires Yasaka in his workshop. This old acquaintance, who has just been released from prison, begins to meddle in Toshio’s family life…
