Interview with Magalie Lepine-Blondeau, actress in The Nature of Love by Monia Chokri, presented at the 76th Festival de Cannes in Un Certain Regard.

The Nature of Love: She’s not only among the most famous Canadian actresses but Magalie Lepine-Blondeau is also director’s Monia Chokri’s best friend. As the protagonist of Chokri’s new feature film, The Nature of Love, Symple Comme Sylvain, at the 76th Cannes Film Festival, she plays Sophia, a 40-year-old philosophy professor, who, from a stable if somewhat socially-conforming relationship with Xavier ends up falling in love with her craftsman, Sylvain, who turns her world upside down. Magalie Lepine-Blondeau walks us into her work with Chokri on relationships, passion, cultural differences, trying to analyze answering the question: “Opposites attract, but can they last?”.
