Asteroid City: As a film is a team effort, this concept has even more meaning when it comes to Wes Anderson’s cinema counting on the participation of many great actors. This is what happens with Asteroid City, in competition at the 76th Cannes Film Festival where Maya Hawke and Rupert Friend play, respectively, June, a school teacher and Montana, a musician cowboy. Asteroid City is the name for a dot-on-the-map desert town in the American Southwest in the year is 1955 but, we will soon discover that it is also a play in its preparation, directed by a renown director, played by Edward Norton. Maya Hawke and Rupert Friend are also two actors then, working on this show in the Broadway and Hollywood of the 50’s. Hawke and Friend talk about the innocent and sophisticated pastel colored world of Wes Anderson and how it felt to be cast in this film.
