PODCAST | Angelo Acerbi interviews director Vincent Biron and actor Alexandre Lavigne, who talk about the film Prank presented at Venezia 73 [International Critics’ Week]
Director Vincent Biron and his actor Alexandre Lavigne tell us about the making of Prank, a wierdly funny low budget comedy, unconsciously inspired by Todd Solondz and Kevin Smith. The freedom of a 4 people film crew and a low low budget gave the film the freedom it needed to succeed, and Vincent tells us how true this has been.
PRANK. Stefie, an unremarkable teenage loner, is recruited by Martin, Jean-Sé and Lea to record their daily capers with his cellphone. The four pranksters decide to set up a stunt that go beyond anything they’ve done so far… But this time, who will be the victim? A funny and cruel coming-of-age story about love, friendship, peer pressure and loss of innocence.
At the 22nd edition of the Giornate degli Autori, the GdA Director's Award goes to Inside Amir by Amir Azizi, a "meditation on everyday life" that intertwines memory and mourning.
