The fifth day of Rome Film Festival and Alice nella Città could easily be renamed “Viggo Day”. The actor is at the Festival to present his new film Captain Fantastic by Matt Ross which recently won Best Director at the Festival de Cannes in may. Mortensen is also the protagonist of the “Close Encounter” of today hosted by artistic Director Antonio Monda.

Viggo Mortensen talks about what he learned from his character Ben in the film and discuss how to use honesty when it comes to parenting. Captain Fantastic forces us into the inevitable question: is there a right way to raise a child?

CAPTAIN FANTASTIC. In the forests of the Pacific Northwest, a father devoted to raising his six kids with a rigorous physical and intellectual education is forced to leave his paradise and enter the world, challenging his idea of what it means to be a parent.
