PODCAST | Matteo Ghidoni interviews the director Gabriele Muccino at Filming Italy Los Angeles.

From Los Angeles, the director of The Pursuit of Happiness talks about his 12 years living in California and his vision on how to be appealing for both an Italian and an international audience. “My eyes, the way I look at the world, get transferred to the audience because of the way I feel human relationships”. Muccino also talks about the war in Ukraine and how he thinks peace is the ultimate solution. Muccino also talks about his experience working as a director for the famous TV show Ultimo Minuto, back in the ’80s. “My dream movie? I would love to direct Leonardo DiCaprio or Brad Pitt”.

Created and organized by Agnus Dei di Tiziana Rocca and the Italian Institute of Culture Los Angeles. Filming Italy – Los Angeles promotes Italy as a film set and bridge between Italian and American culture. The Festival, whose artistic direction is entrusted to Tiziana Rocca, is presented under the auspices of the Consulate General of Italy in Los Angeles and will see the presence of Consul General Silvia Chiave.
