Hanna Polak – Filmmaker – Something Better to Come
FRED’s Matt Micucci talks to filmmaker Hanna Polak, whose 14-year-long work “Something Better to Come” was presented at IDFA 2014. She tells us about how strange the experience of sharing her personal film with the wider public was, the problems of illegally filming in a place full of illegality and her deep gratitude for the community of people living outside of society that warmly embraced her.
“Something Better to Come” was filmed over the course of 14-years. In this documentary Hanna Polak follows teenager Yula and her companions living on Europe’s biggest landfill.
