PODCAST | Matt Micucci interviews cinematographer Igor Martinovic, one of the mentor of the 2016 Talents Sarajevo at the 22nd Sarajevo Film Festival.

Celebrated cinematographer of fiction and documentary films, Igor Martinovic, is the 2016 mentor for the group of cinematographers participating in this year’s Talents Sarajevo at the Sarajevo Film Festival. The theme of the talents program, this year, is “In and Out of Light.”

Martinovic tells us that they have expanded on it, as the process so far (at the time of interview shows). We talk about his work with the talents, and he even tells us a little bit about this year’s group and how they are “eager to try things” and he is “trying to challenge them, creating problems that I don’t even have the answers to.” Besides this, we talk about cinematography in general, the obligatory question of digital and analog as well as a very engaging conversation and discussion about the lack of “visual literacy” in the modern world.
