Mauro Mancini si cimenta in un racconto intenso e complesso, con mille possibili sfaccettature e affidandosi ad un Alessandro Gassman perfetto per il ruolo. Non Odiare: In una città del nord-est vive Simone Segre, affermato chirurgo di origine ebraica: una vita tranquilla, un appartamento elegante e nessun legame con il passato. Un giorno si trova a soccorrere un uomo vittima di un pirata della strada, ma quando scopre sul suo petto un tatuaggio nazista, lo abbandona al suo destino. Preso dai sensi di colpa, rintraccia la famiglia dell’uomo: Marica, la figlia maggiore; Marcello, adolescente contagiato dal seme dell’odio razziale; il piccolo Paolo. Verrà la notte in cui Marica busserà alla porta di Simone, presentandogli inconsapevolmente il conto da pagare.
