PODCAST | Chiara Nicoletti interviews Soko, actress of the film The Stopover by Delphine Coulin, Muriel Coulin from the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
With two films in which she is featured as a protagonist, The Dancer and The Stopover, actress Soko is without a doubt one of the stars of the 2016 edition of the Cannes Film Festival. In The Stopover, directed by Delephine and Muriel Coulin, she is a female soldier who, after her experiences in Afghanistan, is trying to return to her normal life but must face the demons of vulnerability, weakness and post-traumatic stress disorder. Soko reveals in this podcast that playing the character of a marine was a real challenge for her because, among other things, Soko is a totally different person from the one she portrays in this film.
THE STOPOVER: At the end of their tour of duty in Afghanistan, two young military women, Aurore and Marine, are given three days of decompression leave with their unit at a five-star resort in Cyprus, among tourists. But it’s not that easy to forget the war and leave the violence behind.
