Festival Section: Venezia 71.
FRED has the pleasure of meeting documentarian Joshua Oppenheimer, who presented his latest work THE LOOK OF SILENCE at the 71st Venice Film Festival – his follow up to his rightly celebrated feature The Act of Killing. In The Look of Silence, he once again examines the subject of the Indonesian Communist Purges but this time he focuses more on the victims rather than the perpetrators of the atrocious genocide.
Reporter: Matt Micucci.
