After God exists, her name is Petrunya Teona Strugar Mitevska is back at representing society through the lens of satire and comedy. With The happiest man in the world, in the Orizzonti competition at the 79th Venice International Film Festival, the macedonian director relies once again on a female protagonist to analyze war, the Ex-Yugoslav past and what defines us:our ethnicity, religion, gender and what divides us or unites us.

The happiest man in the world: Asja, a 40-year-old single woman lives in Sarajevo. In order to meet new people, she ends up spending her Saturday in a speed dating event. She is matched with Zoran, a 43-year-old banker. However, Zoran is not looking for love, but forgiveness.
