Giovedì 7 luglio 2022, Kyoshi Kurosawa è stato ospite de Il Cinema in Piazza, organizzata dall’Associazione Piccolo America, per presentare al pubblico Tokyo Sonata nel corso di un incontro speciale moderato dai Fratelli D’Innocenzo. Insieme a Giovanna Fulvi, i registi di America Latina gli hanno posto domande sul suo cinema e il suo passaggio dal cinema horror ad uno più classico e realista. A seguito di questo incontro, il regista si è raccontato, ci ha descritto quello che pensare essere il suo rapporto con il pubblico italiano e infine, ha detto la sua sui giovani ma già esperti Fabio e Damiano D’Innocenzo.
