Director Damián Vondrásek, from the Czech Republic, was among those selected for this year’s edition and presented his film Imprisoned at the 52nd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. In this film, Vondrásek talks to us about the meaning of “imprisonment” as a concept of his movie, the effects of the choice of using a naturalistic style – he mentions, for instance, that he prefers minimalistic acting – in his film, refers to some of his creative influences, his experience of being part of the 2017 Future Frames at Karlovy Vary, and more.
