Fedja Stukan – actor – A Perfect Day
FRED’s Chiara Nicoletti interviews Fedja Stukan, actor in the film by Fernando Leon De Aranoa – A Perfect Day, screening at the Festival de Cannes in the Director’s Fortnight.
In the film Fedja is the translator, the one guiding and helping the aid workers to understand and being understood by local people. His character never shows emotions until he reveals he has a weak point when his family is threatened.
Since he lived and fought during the war in the Balkans, he is very happy with the way the war topic is treated, the dramatic events are balanced by a great sense of humor and irony spreading all over the film.
A PERFECT DAY: A group of aid workers tries to resolve a crisis in an armed conflict zone: Sophie is a newcomer, she wants to help ; Mambrú has seen it all and wants to go home ; Katya is the former mistress of Mambrú ; Damir wants the war to end, and B doesn’t know what he wants.
Humor, drama, emotion, routine, danger, hope : it all fits in A perfect day.
