“Milk”, the first film written and directed by Stefanie Kolk explores a quite unusual and taboo topic in cinema: the loss of a baby and the breast milk that continually reminds the mother of the physical relation with her stillborn baby.
What to do with this milk? Robin decides to donate it, but this choice turns out to be more difficult than she thought…
Plot
Days after giving birth to a stillborn baby, Robin’s breasts start to produce milk. Unable to throw the milk away, Robin takes the unusual decision to donate her milk. As her quest for a place to donate becomes more difficult than anticipated, more and more milk starts to crowd her freezer, relationship and life.
