This discussion, moderated by Kerry Swanson – CEO of the Indigenous Screen Office (ISO), will explore the unique models of funding championed by the Arctic Indigenous Film Fund, the Sami Film Institute and the ISO, as well as the advocacy executed by each organization with a focus on the circumpolar region. As leaders in their regions, these organizations have supported the successful development of robust Indigenous screen industries, and alongside filmmakers and artists Laakukluk Williamson Bathory (Tartupaluk (2025), Sobey Art Award Winner 2021), Elle Márjá Eira (Stolen (2024), The Sami Have Rights (2019)), Pipaluk Kreutzmann Jørgensen (Ivalu (2023), Anori (2018)), they delve into the incredible work being created by Indigenous storytellers.
