PODCAST | Cristiana Palmieri interviews Bettina Kinski, Festival Curator of the German Film Festival in Sydney.
The festival curator Bettina Kinski unpacks a line-up of 33 films, the biggest and boldest programme yet, with an excellent selection direct from the 2023 Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale), and a retrospective on music and art in Berlin across the last few decades. Bettina also explains that the festival is very proud to feature an outstanding number of female-directed films, both in the sidebar FRAUEN AM WERK: FOCUS ON FEMALE DIRECTORS, and throughout the entire programme. The programme also features the section Kino for Kids, a sidebar especially dedicated to younger audiences and families, curated by the Goethe-Institut.
The interview was recoreded at the opening night of the festival in Sydney. The festival screens nationally at Palace Cinemas from 2 – 24 May.
