SPOTLIGHT on ARGENTINA AND BRAZIL AT THE ROME BUSINESS STREET
The guest countries of the ninth edition of the Business Street, Argentina and Brazil, will find in Rome an ideal launch pad to highlight and promote the sale of their latest film productions.
During the first weekend of The Rome Film Festival and The Business Street, international buyers have the opportunity to screen a rich bouquet of new Argentinean and Brazilian titles. The two countries will also be present within New Cinema Network with the emerging Argentinean director Hernan Guerschuny (Recreo), whilst renowned Brazilian director Bruno Barreto will present Duetto. Besides offering a dedicated window to two of the most appreciated and acknowledged cinematographies in the international film festival circuit, this Industry Focus aims at encouraging networking and cooperation among film industry professionals and institution representatives. Trade reciprocity, marketplace intelligence and business opportunities among the Argentinean, Brazilian and Italian film and culture industries will be the object of a trilateral debate centred around exploring the opportunities of artistic and trade cooperation. The event will take place at Casa del Cinema on October 19th.
The Focus is an initiative produced by The Business Street and New Cinema Network, with the support of ANCINE (Agência Nacional do Cinema – Brazil), APEX (Agência Brasileira de Promoção de Exportações e Investimentos) and Cinema do Brasil for Brazil, and the INCAA (Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales) for Argentina, in collaboration with MiBACT and ICE-Italian Trade Agency
