Amy Ryan: “Comedy always works when you’re deadly serious”

Premiered at the 81st Venice Film Festival, out of competition, “Wolfs” by Jon Watts brings back together the amazing duo Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Scheduled to debut in select theaters on September 20, 2024 and premiering globally on Apple TV+ on September 27, the film counts on the participation of two actors beside Pitt and Clooney: Amy Ryan and Austin Abrams.

As Jon Watts remarks in his press notes, Ryan and Abrams can walk that “tightrope between deadly serious and completely ridiculous” that is essential for a film like Wolfs.

Oscar-nominated actress Amy Ryan plays The Politician, the one calling the mysterious number she was given in case she needed a fixer.

Austin Abrams, a rising star, plays The Kid and gets to share the most amazing and hilarious scenes with the two friends and frenemies in the film, Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Plot

Global superstars George Clooney and Brad Pitt team up for the action comedy “Wolfs.” Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high-profile crime. But when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two “lone wolves” are forced to work together, they find their night spiraling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.
