Nell’intervista ai Fratelli D’Innocenzo e a Gabriele Silli, rispettivamente sceneggiatori e attore di Bassifondi abbiamo parlato di una frase del film che riassume il suo significato più profondo.

Bassifondi: Il film diretto da Francesco Pividori, racconta la storia di Romeo e Callisto, due senzatetto che vivono sugli argini del Tevere nel centro di Roma e si mantengono con espedienti quotidiani. I due sono opposti sia fisicamente che caratterialmente, ma entrambi hanno in comune una cosa: adottano modi distruttivi e ostili nei confronti della società che vive “al di sopra” del Tevere, arrivando spesso a creare situazioni di conflitto. Sprofondati in una spirale di follia negativa, il loro rapporto subirà un forte cambiamento quando Romeo si ammala. Sarà Callisto a prendersi cura di lui, dimostrando il grande affetto che nutre nei suoi confronti.
