It is a co-production with Italy, Brazilian director Cristiane Oliveira’s third feature film, Até que a Música Pare – Fino alla fine della musica, in the exhibition competition at the 42nd Bergamo Film Meeting.
The film depicts the story of an italian Italian-descendant family torn apart by the death of their first son. During a trip following her husband, Chiara, the matriarch, finds about some secrets about him who she has been with for 50 long years.
By putting this couple to the test, Oliveira explores what can make us give up on someone we love, what are the limits to our tollerance.
As it also deals with loss, “Até que a Música Pare – Until the music is over” shows how different the mourning process can be and how it can divide people or it can make a couple or a family stronger in facing adversities.
With the italian title Fino alla fine della musica, the film will come out in Italian theaters on March 28th with Lo Scrittoio
