Trieste is preparing to host the 25th edition of the ShorTS IFF
ShorTS International Film Festival
The 25th edition of the ShorTS International Film Festival is ready to conquer Trieste from 28 June to 6 July 2024. A Rich and Diversified Program
The ShorTS International Film Festival will last nine days and present 117 works divided into seven competition sections. The historic Maremetraggio section has 45 short films from 43 countries. Other sections include ShorTS Express, Eco-ShorTS, Italia in ShorTS, Shorter Kids’n’Teens, ShorTS Immersive, and three short films out of competition. Also this year, the pre-festival ShorTS Development & Pitching Training trained screenwriters and directors of eight international projects, the winners of which will be in Trieste.
Awards and Prominent Guests
The ShorTS International Film Festival will pay homage to notable figures of Italian cinema. On 28 June, Simone Massi will receive the Cinema dell’Anima Award, and his first feature film, Invelle, will be screened.
The Cinema del Presente Award will go to the brothers Damiano and Fabio D’Innocenzo. The two Roman directors will share their cinematic experience with the public on 29 June. Isabella Ragonese and Michele Riondino will be honoured with the Interprete del Presente Award, meeting the public on July 3rd and 5th, respectively. Laura Samani will be the protagonist of the Campolungo section.
