PODCAST | Chiara Nicoletti interviews Gian Maria Greco, Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow, talking about the UMAQ Project.
Marie Sklodowska-Curie fellow Gian Maria Greco is back on FRED to talk about the UMAQ Conference which was held in Barcelona on June 4th and 5th, 2018. The aim of the UMAQ project is to carry out the first comprehensive analysis of the notion of quality in Media Accessibility and investigate the possibility of a unified theoretical framework for understanding it. Gian Maria explains the choice for Aljoscha Burchardt (DFKI GmbH) as keynote speaker and the UMAQ intention of building a community around the concepts of media quality and quality measurement. Indeed, the most interesting discussions arising from the conference were coming from the participants’ need not only to define media accessibility quality but also to find a universal and useful way of measuring it.
The UMAQ Conference aims at gathering together, for the first time, all the key actors involved in research on quality in MA and its implementation in industry and policy, in order to provide a deeper understanding of the issues involved, and boost a coordinated research programme at an international level.
