PODCAST | Chiara Nicoletti interviews Jesse Williams actor and director of the TV serie Grey’s Anatomy.
He has been playing Jackson Avery from Season 6 of Grey’s Anatomy, the longest medical drama series of TV history but only recently, Jesse Williams took on the role of director, for the first time in his life, to direct some episodes of season 14 and 15 of the TV series, starting from episode 22: Fight for your mind. At the Filming Italy Sardegna Festival, the actor, director and activist receives the Filming Italy TV Award and comments on the strongest elements and reasons why Grey’s Anatomy keeps attracting millions of fans all over the world and never loses strength. Jesse Williams then describes his first approach to directing visually and with his fellow actors colleagues. While in the US the 15′ season finale has already been aired, in Italy episode n. 24 will air on Monday June 17th. Jesse Williams will be in Season 16 but as we all know, Shonda Rhimes, the show creator, never tells anything to her actors nor do the screenwriters so the mistery in which every character falls into in the last episode will be unfolded in the next season.
