A conversation with Leena Pasanen, director of Bologna’s Biografilm Festival, which runs on June 5-15. This year marks the first year of Pasanen at the helm of the annual event. And she has had her hands full, making sure everything runs smoothly as Biografilm pioneers its first digital edition, in response to the current global pandemic. In this interview, we ask her how it will function and some of the challenges they were faced with in setting it up. Also, we ask her about some of the films in the selection, and to highlight a few titles from the program.
