Matt Carter, director of In From The Side, and his actors Alexander King and Ivan Comisso have a fun chat at the Lovers Film Festival in Torino, where the film opened the festival. From the laws ( not rules) of rugby, for. the universal rules of love and of cheating, to the camaraderie and the sense of family that rugby brings forward and promotes, all is touched in this conversation. the guys are fun and sweet, as the film is.

In From The Side: The lives of a London gay rugby team, both on and off the pitch, are explored in this assured feature which reveals the many different games that people play. Two men in a gay men’s rugby club must conceal an adulterous affair they unwittingly fall into before it leads to the collapse of the delicate social and political fabric of the club.
