Un Certain Regard’s WHITE GOD is a man vs beast story with a socio-political context. The co-lead in the movie is pet dog Hagen who is thrown out on the street by the main protagonist Lili’s father much to the distress of his rebellious teenage daughter. While Lili searches for him, Hagen is caught up in a nasty dog fighting ring, but little do they know, he’s about to wreak havoc on those who dared to mistreat him. Teresa Ann Miller found and trained twin dogs Luke and Body to act in the movie in their first starring role. Accompanied by Body himself, Teresa Anne Miller gives FRED Film radio insight into the process of animal handling and how the incredible dogs scenes were choreographed. And don’t miss a comment or two, quite literally, from one of the canine leads!
