Cynthia Nixon plays the leading role in Terence Davies‘ new film, A Quiet Passion, on the life of Emily Dickinson. The film was presented at the 66th Berlinale as a Special Gala, and also stars Jennifer Ehle and Keith Carradine. Nixon comments on the reasons why she accepted to portray the American poet and the comedic approach used by Davies in the screenplay and the film.
